What can I say?  I am so loving the new school!  The students are fantastic! The cats have been purr-fect specimens for training (not perfect in TEMPERAMENT, mind you, buy perfect for training.  There is a difference!).

All of the students this session are pursuing their CFMG certification so have opted to take all exams.  The first one will be done this afternoon and then a couple more Monday morning.  By the week’s end they will have completed them all, and if they pass, go home a new Certified Feline Master Groomer! Woohoo!

I am looking forward to their breed presentations after lunch.  Should be interesting. I am truly amazed how well they are all doing with their breeds and colors.  Of course I am assuming it’s because Lindz and I are such amazing teachers, not that the students are quick learners.  One can always hope, right?

So we are on our second day of class at the brand spankin’ new cat grooming school!  I must say, I sometimes cannot believe we were able to pull everything together and present the students with a finished and oh so awesome school to learn and perfect their cat grooming skills in!

After only, oh say, 1,000 man hours of PAINTING, we have a breath-taking, huge, old home to call our own!  It has its original, yet perfectly restored 100+ year old hardwood floors, a delectable paint scheme, beautiful artwork and furniture and of course all of the latest and greatest cat grooming equipment! I cannot tell you how proud I am to be a part of this and to have played a small part in what the school is today!

Danelle and I are so grateful for all that we have been blessed with and want to personally thank everyone for their ongoing support and dedication to becoming the absolute best cat groomer they can be with our help.

It is so exciting to see the students eyes light up with all they are learning and absorbing with every lecture and demo!  We have yet to begin the hands-on, but are so eager to get to that!  We have cats coming out of the woodwork for free grooms, and the general knowledge of the huge need for cat grooming is becoming ever more apparent.

Here is our school house.  Built in the early 1900s, the 2 story home sits on a corner lot just blocks from Greenville’s historic West End.

The property was in dire need of some fixing up and we’ve worked our tails off to do just that!  We are so excited to begin our first class in less than 2 weeks!!
