Space is limited to 8 students who have either completed our 2- week cat grooming course or have already earned the title of CFMG.

Two cats are needed per student.  You can either bring your own cats or they will be provided by the NCGIA at an additional charge of $55 each.

Tools to bring to class:

Clippers with a #10 blade**

Trimmer-style clippers with either a #30 or #40 blade **

Blow Pens or Sprayza Pens

Artist’s paintbrushes of various sizes

Stencils (optional)

Greyhound comb

Metal face comb

Nail trimmers

• All cats used should have a temperament appropriate for performing detail work. If coloring is desired, a light undercoat is necessary. This means any white, cream, smoke, or colorpointed cat is most likely suitable. Email us a picture if you are not sure. Airlines will accept two cats in a single soft-sided carrier to be taken onboard.

** The NCGIA is a distributor for Wahl clippers and trimmers. We use and recommend tools and products that we have found to be the best on cat hair. You may purchase these items from us when you come to the class or you can bring your own.
