Written Exams

Four written exams are required as part of the CFMG certification process.

They cover:
1. Business Management  (essay)

2. Breeds, Colors, Genetics (50 questions, fill-in-the-blank)

3. Health & Anatomy (55 questions, fill-in-the-blank)

4. Temperaments & Handling Skills (50 questions, fill-in-the-blank)

A passing grade of 85% or better is required for each.  The purchase of all four corresponding Study Packets by each student is also required (no exceptions).

Membership with the NCGIA must be current to take any exams and earn the CFMG or CFCG title. In order to retain any titles earned through the NCGIA, membership must remain current, otherwise all titles will be lost, and the exam process would need to be repeated to attain the titles once again.

Registration for exams can be done over the phone or online.

Once you have been through our training course and earned your CFMG, you are then eligible for participation in the Dirty Hair Project.
