Much of our country is buried in snow right now. Even we southerners down here in SC are supposed to get a few flakes by day’s end. Winter weather definitely takes its toll on business profitability! At first an unexpected break from everyday work life is a welcome thing. But then…..well, one can only go for so long without making money before they start to feel the pain of it all.
Always plan ahead and save up a surplus during the busy spring and summer months. This will help you get by during the endless weeks of snowy winter days. Kinda like a squirrel burying nuts for the winter. Be a squirrel.
I was just telling my husband last night that I am so tired of winter and cold and wearing heavy jackets. And really, where I live it isn’t terribly bad. He reminded me that next Wednesday I’ll be boarding a plane to head into some REAL winter. Moscow, Russia. If I thought it was cold here, I can’t begin to fathom the frigidness of where I will be next week! In fact, looking through my “heavy” jacket selection, I see that none of them are really that heavy. At least not heavy enough to keep me toasty when the temp is -7. This does not compute with my South Carolina brain. Pray I don’t freeze to death.
