Couldn’t even get it on the cat, and when I finally did cat went ballistic. Wish I could return it.

Hi Marni,
We are sorry to hear that you had some challenges when trying to use the air muzzle on a cat.

Because cats often react badly to things they are not familiar with, how we apply the air muzzle on a cat for the first time can either set things up for failure or for success. This is one reason our program goes so in depth into assessing a cat's temperament before we do anything (shy, compliant, aggressive). Then, it's imperative to understand how to best handle each type of cat for various aspects of the groom (stopping the 3Fs, as an example).

The air muzzle works great for the majority of felines when used appropriately. When we don't introduce the AM in a non-threatening way or when we allow the cat to progress through the stages of the 3Fs (as taught in the Syllabus), things always go down hill quickly. At that point, a groomer makes the assumption that the AM doesn't work or that a particular cat can't wear the AM. However, in our decades of experience teaching thousands of groomers, we know that isn't true.
